The bank network connection activation changes to online banking credentials based authentication, provided by the Finnish banks (TUPAS authentication), starting from 01.09.2011.

The activation code letter based authentication has been discontinued since 30.08.2011.

The new authentication method is more reliable, secure and faster. Companies can authenticate themselves directly without waiting for the letter with the activation code to arrive.

The activation requires that the authentication is done by a person, who has procuration rights for the company in the trade register.

The bank connections have been the most frequently requested - and the most commercially cumbersome - feature that has been requested throughout the history of Maventa. The Federation of Finnish Financial Services has just released a report on research of carbon footprints and time savings comparing paper invoices and electronic invoices. While research like this has been conducted before, this report takes well into account also the time and resources spent on processing electronic invoices and clearly differentiates between sending and receiving invoices.

Here are the highlighted findings:

You can now activate debt collection services via your Maventa account. The service is offered by Duetto Group, and it can be easily activated via your Maventa account at "Settings > Company Information". After activation, you can send invoices to debt collection through the Invoice view on your account. Debt collection is free for the collector. The debtor pays the costs associated with the collection.

The latest update of the Maventa Universal Thinclient (2010-08-16) includes requested features, such as adding an ‘OFF’ value for receive timer for disabling receiving, and an option to disable unzipping of zipped invoices to sub-directories and instead using a single directory for all invoices without sub-directories.
